Job Description

Role Title: Superintendent Pharmacist

Location: Iju – Fagba (Mainland)

We are looking for a Pharmacist who will be responsible for aiding customers by compounding and dispensing prescription medications, providing pharmaceutical information to healthcare professionals, monitoring customers’ drug therapies, and providing pharmaceutical expertise to customers on the safe use of medications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses the identity, strength, or purity of medications. Compounds and dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, or overseeing these activities.
  • Maintains records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, and control record.
  • Plans, implements, and maintains procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal.
  • Monitoring customers’ drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing customers of any potential side effects.
  • Instructing customers on how and when to take prescribed medications.
  • Conducting health and wellness screenings and keeping accurate customer records.
  • Completing operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, charges, and removing expired and/or damaged drugs from the pharmacy’s inventory.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
  • 2-3 years proven experience as a pharmacist.
  • Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications used by pharmacies.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
