Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Industry: Interior (Furniture Showroom)

Job Type: Contract (6 months)

Job Description: Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will perform clerical tasks such as filing, inventory management, stock taking, handling mail, and basic bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out stock taking in the furniture showroom
• Ensuring proper inventory management of furniture items in the showroom.
• Preparing statutory accounts.
• Ensuring stock, payment, amounts and records are correct.
• Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
• Recording and filing cash transactions.
• Invoice processing and filing.
• Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
• Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
• Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports

Qualification:

• A HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to actively listen.
• You should have inventory, stock taking or storekeeping background
• You must be confident and well spoken
• Solid relationship building capabilities, positive and compassionate attitude with keen attention to detail are essential for this role.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
• You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

NOTE: This is a 6 months contract role, which can be extended based on performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦100,00.00 per month
