Job Description

A school at Ajao Estate, Isolo Lagos, requires the services of a competent maintenance officer.

Candidate will stay in the school hostel.

Requirements:

• Mechanical/ Electrical graduate (HND/BSc/ or attended Technical School with Trade test results)

Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance:

• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds.
• Ensure a safe and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Equipment and Systems Management:

• Oversee the maintenance of school equipment, including plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with external contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
• Perform regular checks to prevent equipment malfunctions.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Manage an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Procure necessary materials for repairs and maintenance activities.
• Track usage and maintain cost-effective inventory levels.

Emergency Response:

• Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.
• Act promptly to address urgent maintenance issues and ensure a timely resolution.
• Conduct safety drills and train staff on emergency procedures.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing.
• Generate reports on maintenance metrics and costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and other staff to understand facility needs.
• Communicate maintenance schedules and updates to the school community.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors to achieve maintenance goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦80,00.00 per month
