Job Description
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN IKEJA, LAGOS. PROXIMITY TO THE LOCATION IS ESSENTIAL
As our Store Attendant/Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide information about products, and offer assistance.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner and escalate issues as needed.
- Sales:
- Actively promote and sell products to meet sales targets.
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Upsell or cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Cash Handling:
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment securely.
- Stocking and Merchandising:
- Replenish stock on the sales floor and ensure products are properly displayed.
- Maintain organized and visually appealing merchandise displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, and restocking.
- Opening and Closing Duties:
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation.
- Secure the store at the end of the day.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of High school certificate.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to handle customer concerns and complaints professionally.
