Job Description
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is inviting applications for the position of Research Support Officer. This is a two-year renewable contract role located in Ibadan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of forage research trials.
- Provide support for sample preparation, laboratory analysis, and data processing.
- Maintain research equipment and facilitate logistical support for field activities.
- Collect and prepare feed and forage samples, including operation of the NIRS machine.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of HND/BSc in Animal Science or a related field, with at least four years of relevant experience. GAS Certification from NIAS is mandatory.
Skills: Proficiency in data collection and analysis, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to field conditions are essential.
