Job Objectives/Purpose of the Job
The job holder will collaborate with lead clinicians to provide teaching for junior colleagues and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of patients- inpatient & outpatient
- Specialist Multidisciplinary team meetings
- Delivery of acute ward services & support for junior doctors
- Participate in research, teaching & development within the hospital
- Liaise with external specialists for quality patient care
- Maintain & update skills through continuing medical education
Qualifications
- MBBS (or equivalent)
- Fellowship Examination of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Paediatrics or equivalent
- Higher degree e.g. MD/PhD relevant to the subspecialty
Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS); Paediatrics Advance Life Support (PALS)
- Completion of a recognized training program in General Pediatrics
- Eligible for full registration with the MDCN & hold a current license
- Demonstrate high clinical experience & competence in General Pediatrics
