Job Description
Location: Lagos (Ketu)
Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the transportation, distribution, and storage of products to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of Distribution Drivers and Mates.
Provide guidance and direction to the team to ensure smooth operations.
Manage and monitor Dispatch team on field.
Provides first-hand resolution and escalates issues.
- Routing and Scheduling:
Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
Schedule transportation resources to meet delivery timelines.
- Order Fulfillment:
Ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment.
- Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control measures for inbound and outbound shipments.
Address and resolve issues related to damaged or incorrect shipments.
- Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to shipments.
Ensure Distribution drivers and mates are available on site.
- Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement in logistics operations.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics, with a focus on supervision and leadership.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
