Job Description
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ ocular health, including visual acuity, eye pressure, and overall eye health
- Document and communicate relevant patient information
- Help prepare patients for examination and medical procedures
- Administer eye medications and ophthalmic treatments as prescribed by ophthalmologists
- Assist with surgical procedures such as eye surgeries and laser treatments
- Educate patients on proper eye care, post-operative instructions, and medication management
- Work closely with optometrists, ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive eye care services
- Ensure that equipment is calibrated and in proper working condition
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patients’ records, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards
