Job Description
Our client in the Oil & Gas industry requires an Operations Engineer to join their team.
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Summary: The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing operational processes, ensuring efficiency, and managing projects to successful completion within the oil and gas sector. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical background, project management expertise, and a commitment to safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyse existing operational processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
- Develop project plans, establish milestones, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, maintenance, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams, to achieve operational goals.
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors to procure services and equipment as needed.
Requirements
- First Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in operations engineering preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Strong project management skills, including experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Knowledge of oil and gas production processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₦120,00.00 – ₦200,00.00 per month
