Job Description
What you will be doing
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in preparing, cooking, portioning, and packaging ready-to-serve Mexican food specialties.
- Direct activities of workers engaged in feeding and tending grinding and mixing machines, rolling, cutting, and baking tortillas, and stirring and tending food in cooking vessels.
- Taste foods to determine that they meet seasoning specifications.
- Supervise workers engaged in portioning and packaging foods.
- Prepare all food items according to recipe and food safety guidelines.
- Ensure the presentation of food items meets standards.
- Read food orders and accurately organize food items onto trays for delivery.
- Document food safety procedures through daily logs.
- Set up and break down kitchen stations.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas and equipment.
- Safely and properly operate food preparation equipment.
- Receive food shipments and properly store food items.
