Job Description

The medical laboratory scientist plays a crucial role in delivering quality diagnostics services by conducting a variety of tests and procedures. Key responsibilities include sample collection, equipment maintenance, and adherence to quality management protocols.

• Perform pre-analytical procedures such as sample collection and accessioning.
• Operate and maintain medical diagnostic analyzers and instruments.
• Test samples, identify critical results, and escalate as necessary.
• Conduct equipment calibration and maintain quality controls.
• Update documentation and ensure timely release of results.
• Optimize laboratory commodity usage and utilize the LIMS system.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences with a current practicing license.
• 1-3 years post-NYSC work experience, preferably in a hospital-based lab.
