Job Description
A Kitchen Assistant is responsible for assisting in all kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. This position plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef and other kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking.
- Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients under the guidance of the head chef.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Stock and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Follow food hygiene and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, be able to work in a team, and have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting is preferred but not required.
