Job Description
As a vital part of the kitchen team, the Kitchen Assistant plays a role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities include food preparation, cooking assistance, cleaning, inventory management, collaboration, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, and peeling food items.
- Cooking Assistance: Support the Cook(s) and follow set recipes to maintain high standards.
- Cleaning and Sanitization: Ensure cleanliness in the kitchen area and dispose of waste.
- Inventory Management: Stock ingredients and monitor expiration dates.
- Collaboration: Work efficiently with team members.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment operation.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of sanitation and safety procedures.
