Job Description
Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc is the premier, largest, and most profitable non-aligned Primary Mortgage Bank in Nigeria. We are currently recruiting for the position of Junior Database Administrator.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing user needs and monitoring user access and security
- Maintaining the database definition layer
- Loading data from flat files
- Performing system and database monitoring
- Analyzing data for efficiency improvements and business opportunities
- Minimizing database downtime and managing parameters
- Assisting with application fault diagnosis
- Conducting backup operations
- Investigating and troubleshooting Vantage Application issues
- Enforcing and documenting database policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- B.Sc / HND in Computer Science / Management Information System / Computer Engineering from an accredited university
- 1 – 2 years of experience in Systems/Database Administration
- Minimum 1 year experience in IT roles
- Good analytical and data analysis skills
- Understanding of MS SQL, MySQL or other Database types
- Knowledge of ITIL & COBIT frameworks will be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and teamwork
- Flexibility and willingness to go beyond job requirements.
