Job Description
The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria, is hiring for the position of Investigative Assistant in the Regional Security Office. This role involves supporting complex criminal investigations such as document fraud, human smuggling, and trafficking in persons under the direction of the Assistant Regional Security Officer. The ideal candidate will assist in the operation of the Diplomatic Security Overseas Criminal Investigations program, maintaining investigative databases and controlling sensitive information access.
Education Requirements:
Two (2) years of general college or university studies.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fields like administration, journalism, law enforcement, or research.
Other Requirements:
All candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance. Background investigations and pre-employment medical exams are mandatory. Selected candidates should be ready to start within six weeks upon clearance.
Salary: USD 42,391 per year
