Job Description

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the organization’s inventory, and ensures accurate and efficient control of stock levels. The role involves liaising with other departments, implementing inventory management strategies, and optimizing inventory processes. The inventory manager must ensure there is a balance between product availability and minimization of excess inventory to achieve cost-effective operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages.
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to inventory.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· B.Sc / BA in Business Administration, Logistics or relevant field.

· Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP).

· Proven experience in Inventory management or similar roles.

· Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptability.

· Excellent organizational and planning skills.

· Reliable and trustworthy.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
