Job Description
We are seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to provide expert legal support to Tenece Professional Services Limited, a Nigerian-based technology consulting firm with subsidiaries across Africa. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks while supporting the company’s business growth across the continent.
Responsibilities:
- Offer legal advice on a broad range of matters, including contracts, corporate governance, employment law, and compliance, considering the regional legal landscape.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk management across African markets.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and laws in Nigeria and other African countries.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage legal disputes and litigation, when necessary, considering regional nuances.
- Safeguard the company’s intellectual property assets, both locally and internationally.
- Assist with corporate governance matters and corporate transactions across African subsidiaries.
- Conduct legal training for employees to promote compliance awareness in diverse African markets.
