Job Description
An Import and Export Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the shipment of goods between different countries. They ensure that all import and export processes are in compliance with international trade regulations and laws.
Key responsibilities of an Import and Export Coordinator include:
- Coordinating and monitoring shipments from suppliers and manufacturers
- Preparing and completing documentation required for customs clearance and regulatory purposes
- Ensuring accurate and timely filing of import and export documentation
- Managing relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
- Tracking and monitoring the movement of goods to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to shipments
- Updating and maintaining import and export records and databases
The ideal candidate for this position should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. A solid understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures is also essential.
