Job descriptions & requirements

As an HR & Administrative Officer, you will be the backbone of our office operations and the primary point of contact for employee-related matters. This dual-purpose role requires a unique blend of organizational efficiency and people-centric empathy. You will ensure that our office runs smoothly while helping us maintain a supportive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

Core Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Recruitment Support: Manage job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and conduct initial screenings for various departments.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate orientation for new hires, manage documentation, and facilitate exit interviews.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
  • Records Management: Maintain digital and physical employee files, ensuring all data is accurate, confidential, and compliant with labor laws.
  • Performance Tracking: Assist in the annual performance review process and track professional development milestones.

Office Administration

  • Facility Management: Oversee office maintenance, manage relationships with vendors (cleaning, security, IT support), and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Procurement: Monitor and restock office supplies, pantry items, and equipment while managing the administrative budget.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize internal events, team-building activities, and board meetings, including travel arrangements where necessary.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and updating office manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Correspondence: Manage incoming mail, general phone lines, and visitor reception.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in an HR or Administrative role.
  • Certification: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR, or CIPD) is a significant plus
