Job Description

A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment within a residential or commercial setting. This role is essential for providing a comfortable and welcoming space for residents, guests, or employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established standards. Dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop floors.
• Bed Making and Linen Changes: Make beds with fresh linens and change bed linens regularly. Ensure the proper arrangement of pillows and decorative items.
• Trash Removal: Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
• Surface Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces, including furniture, countertops, and appliances. Polish and clean glass surfaces and mirrors.
• Restocking Supplies: Replenish guest amenities, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Report any low inventory to the supervisor.
• Room Setup: Arrange furniture and decor in an organized and visually appealing manner. Ensure rooms are set up according to established standards.
• Reporting Maintenance Issues: Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor. Collaborate with maintenance staff for timely repairs.
• Laundry Management: Collect, sort, and wash laundry as needed. Fold and organize clean laundry for proper storage.
• Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Address guest requests or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Adherence to Policies: Adhere to housekeeping policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Follow instructions and guidelines for handling cleaning agents.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move objects.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
