Job Description
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership for the entire accounting department.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the company’s budgets.
- Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to financial policies.
- Manage tax planning strategies and compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.
- Optimize working capital and financial resources.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Provide insights on financial performance and trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in a managerial role.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
