Job Description

DelonJobs is looking to hire a Head, Digital Collection & Debt Recovery for a leading financial institution located in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate would be responsible for building, developing, and leading the debt recovery team to manage the bank’s debt collection service and acting for the bank in debt recovery matters. Interested candidates must possess a minimum of a first degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or operations. The salary is competitive.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and strategic advice about debt collection services and procedures, both externally and internally.
- Work alongside colleagues across the firm to minimize litigation for the Bank, resolve contractual disputes and deal with contested matters up to trial.
- Undertake effective due diligence processes.
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested within the office environment with flexibility.
- Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions.
- Build trust with debtors.
- Stakeholder Management.
- Act in the best interest of the Bank at all times.
Job Requirements:
- First degree in relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years sales and/or operations experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of unit Operations.
- Compliance with consumer protection policies and other regulations.
- Understanding of Internal Policies & Guidelines.
- IT Appreciation & Application.
