Job Description
A Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and operation of a company’s fleet of vehicles. They play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transportation of goods and services. The primary responsibilities of a Fleet Manager include:
- Managing vehicle inventory, including procurement, registration, and licensing
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and ensuring fleet availability and reliability
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle performance, fuel usage, and overall fleet costs
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Supervising and training fleet personnel, including drivers and mechanics
A successful Fleet Manager will have excellent organizational and leadership skills. They should possess a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and compliance requirements.
