Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Care and Observation: Attend to the daily needs of fish babies, fingerlings, and juvenile fish. Conduct regular visual inspections to identify any signs of stress, disease, or abnormalities.

Feeding and Nutrition: Execute feeding schedules and ensure proper nutrition for each developmental stage. Monitor feeding behavior and adjust diets as needed for optimal growth.

Tank Maintenance: Maintain clean and well-aerated tanks for fish rearing. Monitor and adjust water levels, ensuring a suitable environment for fish development.

Disease Prevention: Collaborate with hatchery management to implement disease prevention measures. Report any signs of illness or abnormal behavior for prompt action.

Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of daily activities, including feeding, water quality, and observations. Assist in maintaining comprehensive records for the hatchery’s performance.

Assist in Breeding Programs: Support breeding activities, including the collection and handling of fish eggs. Assist in the incubation process and early care of hatchlings.

Handling and Grading: Participate in the grading and sorting of fish based on size and developmental stage. Assist in the transfer of fish to different rearing units as they grow.

Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow attendants and hatchery management to ensure seamless operations. Communicate effectively with the broader fish farm team.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Salary: From ₦35,00.00 per month
