Job Description
Job Title: Financial Accountant
Job Style: Hybrid
Job Status: Permanent
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Summary: The Financial Accountant oversees internal controls, tax planning, and monthly financial closings. Responsibilities include audits, compliance, tax filings, and financial strategy collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage internal controls and conduct audits.
- Oversee tax planning, preparation, and compliance.
- Handle monthly financial closings and reporting.
- Identify policy gaps, recommend improvements, and document processes.
- Collaborate with the CEO on financial tasks and strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Additional certification (ACCA/ICAN and CIA/CISA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong experience in Nigerian tax administration, especially within the movie industry.
- Proven work experience as an internal auditor, preferably with Big Four experience.
- Knowledge of local and international movie industry standards is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SUN Systems, and QuickBooks.
- Strong follow-up and tracking skills.
