Job Description

Authentic Cuisine is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to our customers’ satisfaction and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items to order and to our customers’ satisfaction
• Ensure that food is prepared and cooked to our high standards and follows all health and safety regulations
• Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including equipment and utensils
• Monitor food inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
• Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
• Train and supervise kitchen assistants and other junior staff members

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cook in a catering business or similar environment.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to read and write English is a must
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Resides in Lekki/Ajah axis
