Job Description
Value Edge Management Service Limited – We are a leading business management consulting practice serving clients across Africa. We work in all major sectors of the economy and levels of government, engaging highly trained and sector-experienced consultants.
Description:
- Assist in the development of real estate strategies for the firm.
- Evaluate new expansion opportunities; specifically, assessing market viability, identifying optimal trade areas, and picking prime spaces.
- Travel to sites within designated markets to evaluate viability.
- Partner with external counsel on lease negotiations by providing negotiation guidance to counsel and following up with landlords directly on key points/resolving open issues.
- Manage and negotiate a portion of the company’s lease renewals each year.
- Manage LOI negotiations with external brokers, driving to negotiate the strongest economic and business terms for the Company. Negotiate LOIs directly with landlords.
- Liaise with internal business partners on determining site feasibility; work directly with brand operations, store design, construction, legal, and finance teams.
- Participate in monthly Real Estate Committee meetings, presenting new real estate deals to senior leadership.
- Responsible for preparing presentation materials for senior leadership.
- Identify and implement retail/leasing trends in the company’s negotiations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- BL, LLB, Degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
