Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated detail-oriented, dedicated, and knowledgeable Database Administrator to join our dynamic team at INFINION TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, an innovative IT solution company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Azure databases in development, testing, and production environments.
- Write and debug complex SQL queries and scripts.
- Implement and maintain the database design.
- Create database tables, indexes, and triggers.
- Plan for backup and recovery of database information, including building and maintaining Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
- Maintain archived data.
- Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- Implement, deploy, and maintain high availability database clusters such as Oracle Cluster, SQL Server High Availability Group.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 1-year work experience as a database administrator.
- Proficient in Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Azure-related technologies.
- Strong command of SQL, and Database management tools such as sqlplus, SSMS, etc.
- Familiarity with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design.
- Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and database optimization.
- Efficient in working independently and in a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
