We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Casework Administrator to support our UK-based casework team. This role combines administrative responsibilities with support for caseworkers, handling client enquiries, and maintaining accurate case records. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet high professional standards in line with UK legal and advisory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support:
- Maintain well-organised digital filing systems in line with IAS procedures.
- Handle client enquiries via email, phone, and other communication channels.
- Provide secretarial support, including drafting letters, transcribing documents, scheduling appointments and coordinating interpreters.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings and coordinate workflows for caseworkers.
2. Casework Support:
- Assist caseworkers with completing applications, documentation, and case files.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case information using our case management systems.
- Prepare case files for transfer, audit, review and billing purposes.
- Monitor case deadlines and remind caseworkers of key dates where required.
- Assist in generating case lists for billing, inactive matters, and other administrative purposes.
- Liaise with other offices, external partners, and service providers as required.
- Participate in training events, team meetings, and development sessions.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required by managers.
3. Communication & Coordination:
- Maintain professional, timely, and courteous communication with clients and colleagues in line with IAS service standards.
- Support line managers and colleagues with office procedures in line with organizational policies.
- Track client communications and follow up where required to avoid delays.
- Escalate urgent or sensitive client issues to caseworkers or supervisors promptly.
- Support smooth handovers between different caseworkers or departments.
4. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all case records, correspondence, and documents comply with IAS policies and UK regulatory standards.
- Support internal audits, quality checks, and version control of case documents.
- Flag missing information, inconsistencies, or potential risks in case files to the supervising caseworker.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum A-level education or equivalent; administrative/secretarial qualifications preferred.
- Proven administrative, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- At least 1 year experience in an administrative or support role preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and commitment to Equal Opportunities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy and strong commitment to confidentiality.
- Experience in legal, advice, or casework environments is an advantage.

Work Eligibility:
- This is a contractor role. The successful candidate will be engaged on a contract basis and must be legally able to work in Nigeria and be responsible for managing their own taxes and statutory obligations.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely.
Working Conditions:
- Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. (UK time), with occasional extended hours during peak cycles.
- This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and engaging in frequent communication.
