Job Description

Swift Consulting is looking to fill the role of a qualified Business Development Officer for our client in the electrical engineering sector.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in business management or administration, finance, marketing, or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years proven work experience as a business development officer or similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to increase company sales.
  • Identify company products and services that are underperforming, develop an in-depth knowledge of company pricing and policies, and improve existing sales proposals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Engage swiftly on Tender and bidding processes for project contracts (electrical engineering field).
  • Work with team on Tender Journals.
  • Quote/Proposal preparation.
  • Meet with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
  • Ensure the company can achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide insight into product development and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
  • Analyze financial data and develop effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits.
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient or experienced in Tender and bidding processes for project contracts (electrical engineering field).
  • Client Acquisition skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and management skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
