Job Description

Françoise Akinosho Architecture is looking to hire an architect with strong design skills. The ideal candidate should have a very creative imagination, being able to develop innovative design concepts with a keen eye for detail as well as some degree of site experience.

Job Overview

Minimum Qualification: BSc in Architecture

Experience Level: Mid-level

Experience Length: 5 years minimum

Responsibilities

• Analyze client’s briefs to determine their needs and requirements.
• Creative concept development and proposals according to the client’s brief.
• Prepare detailed working and presentation drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Present project proposals to clients.
• Visiting proposed locations and building sites.
• Comply with safety standards and planning regulations.
• Working with contractors, surveyors, building service engineers and other professionals at the different stages of the project.
• Coordinating work between various contractors.
• Resolving issues that come up in project design and construction.

Requirements

• A minimum requirement of a BSc degree in Architecture.
• Should be very creative and proficient in developing presentation and working drawings.
• Should be able to deliver projects quickly, but with attention to detail.
• Proficient in creating 3d models as a working tool.
• Proficiency in the use of Autodesk Revit, Autocad, Rhino (or be willing to learn).
• Use of Adobe software and rendering skills are an added advantage.
• Have strong visual awareness and eye for details.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills and a good awareness of design trends.
• Should be able to collaborate and work well with other members of the team.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
