Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our academic team as an A’Level Sociology Lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality and engaging lectures to A’Level students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall academic success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and innovative lectures in A’Level Sociology.
• Develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and educational goals.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote student engagement.
• Design assessments and examinations that accurately measure student understanding and progress.
• Provide constructive feedback on assignments and assessments to facilitate student learning and improvement.
• Offer guidance and support to students, addressing academic concerns and providing additional resources as needed.
• Conduct regular office hours for student consultation and academic assistance.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the A’Level Sociology curriculum.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, research, and educational best practices to inform curriculum updates.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay current with advancements in Sociology and teaching methodologies.
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences related to the field.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to academic planning and program development.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bsc. in Sociology or a related field.
• Prior experience teaching A’Level Sociology or equivalent courses.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for student success and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦140,00.00 – ₦150,00.00 per month

• A’Level sociology: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Lekki: Relocate before starting work (Required)
