Job Description

We are seeking a Manager who is organized and passionate about Nigerian cuisine, particularly Igbo dishes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence and a hands-on approach to restaurant management.

This person will oversee daily operations, coordinate staff activities and ensure customers enjoy exceptional service and meals that reflect the restaurant’s cultural values. The Manager will also work closely with management. This is a role for someone dependable, proactive and ready to create a homely yet professional atmosphere that keeps both staff and guests happy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and seamless service.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation and portion control for consistency and quality.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness across all departments.
  • Manage customer interactions with patience, empathy and professionalism.
  • Handle stock, vendor relationships and supply coordination to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Monitor daily cash, POS transactions and sales reconciliations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Train, motivate and mentor staff to maintain discipline and teamwork.
  • Prepare weekly performance and financial reports for management.
  • Implement effective opening and closing routines.
  • Support the restaurant’s mission of providing a warm, culturally rooted dining experience.

Qualifications

  • HND/B.Sc. in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience supervising restaurant or hospitality operations.
  • Familiarity with Enugu Meals (Akidi, Ofe Akwu, Nsala, Abacha, Okpa, etc.) or regional cuisines and customer preferences is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Financial awareness and ability to track daily sales and operational costs.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management tools.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated and flexible to work extended hours.
  • Demonstrates humility, emotional maturity and a genuine passion for service.
