Job Description
A KYC Specialist, or Know Your Customer Specialist, is responsible for verifying the identity and financial transactions of clients to comply with regulations and prevent fraud. They analyze customer data, perform background checks, and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) policies.
The KYC Specialist’s main duties include gathering and reviewing client information, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining accurate records. They collaborate with various departments, such as compliance, legal, and operations, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key qualifications for this role include strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of AML and CTF regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are also essential to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
