Job Description
Working in our Advisory business unit, you will be required to carry out the functions listed below and in addition, any other responsibilities that may be given:
1. Deal Sourcing: The Analyst is expected to engage the social impact innovation communities to source high value social impact investment opportunities. The analyst is expected to apply analytical rigour, an understanding of development gaps and capital absorption frameworks to deliver on this expectation of pipelining investment opportunities that are commercially viable, technically feasible and socially impactful.
2. Due Diligence, Investment Documentation and Recommendation: Using analytical tools like financial models, valuation, and proprietary investment appraisal methodologies, carry out commercial and social due diligence on investment opportunities. This function will also include development of investment documentation with investment recommendations.
3. Investment Analysis and Reporting: The Analyst is expected to support portfolio management by collecting and analysing data on portfolio investments, to generate insights on commercial and social impact performance. These insights are used for both decision making internally and externally.
4. Support Portfolio Companies: Provide ongoing support for portfolio companies in building and strengthening business, operational and social impact capabilities in areas like innovation, business model development, supply chain optimization, operational policies, measurement, evaluation & learning (MEL) and gender, equality & social inclusion (GESI).
