Job Description
As an Inventory Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the company’s inventory. Your main role will be to ensure accurate recording and reporting of inventory transactions and provide analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries related to inventory transactions
- Maintain accurate costing records and calculate inventory costs
- Analyze inventory levels and make recommendations for optimization
- Generate inventory reports and provide insight on trends and variances
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and ensure compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Previous experience in inventory accounting or related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
