Job Information

Job Description

1. Involvement in the renewal process of all insurance policies.

2. Registration and acknowledgement of claims in the claim register.

3. Opening of claim file and generation of claim reference number.

4. Notifying the brokers on new claims.

5. Requesting claim supporting documents from the unit involved for onward delivery to the brokers based on the class of insurance.

6. Following up with the unit to ensure timely submission of required documents and complete documentation of claims.

7. Appointing loss adjusters to investigate and adjust claims, and following up to ensure timely submission of their reports to our insurer.

8. Ensuring prompt receipt of offer letters on claims.

9. Following up with brokers for timely settlement of claims, updating the claim file for payments.

10. Maintaining updated claim registers to track outstanding documents on claims.

11. Keeping accurate records of reports submitted by risk adjusters/investigators.

12. Following up on monthly Good-in-Transit declarations and ensuring prompt payments to our brokers.

13. Performing any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications include but are not limited to: B. Sc/HND – Insurance/Actual Science or Allied Discipline.

Membership of Insurance Bodies will be a clear advantage.

Minimum of 4/5 years’ experience in either manufacturing or processing companies will also be advantageous.
