Job Description
Fumiwo is a fintech company launched in 2023 with a focus on Africa. We offer behavioral and financial transaction data analytics-driven alternative data for credit risk and management. Our innovative technology, driven by AI and Machine Learning, aims to enhance financial inclusion and empower individuals by enabling lenders to make better and safer credit decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifying and contacting potential customers
- Developing and maintaining successful long-term client relationships
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge and help build Fumiwo’s presence by establishing personal networks and utilizing existing networks and relationships to build a new customer base
- Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning
- Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products
- Creating business and marketing plans to have a clear pathway to achieving the set objectives
- Attending sales and trade meetings to develop new business prospects and representing the organization at various events
- Gathering useful information from customer and competitor data
- Achieving targets set by the company
- Preparing weekly performance reports to be reviewed alongside management
- Researching potential leads in our target vertical and following up with those leads via phone and in-person meetings to bring them into our customer list
- Other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager
Person Specification:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Marketer or Sales agent in any financial institution
- Must have worked with a fintech startup or financial institution as a Business Development Executive or in a related role
- Extensive sales experience, with a proven track record of successfully marketing tech products (SaaS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Conversant with digital marketing tools and skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
