Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stock Controller (Accountant) to join our team. As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking, and optimizing stock levels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and update inventory records using our inventory management system
- Perform regular physical stock counts to verify accuracy of records
- Analyze sales and forecasting data to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient stock control processes
- Investigate discrepancies between physical stock counts and system records
- Prepare financial reports related to inventory valuation, stock movement, and costs
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures
- Proficient in using inventory management software
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
