Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Material Planner. As a Material Planner, your main responsibility will be to ensure the availability of materials needed for production and operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing material forecasts, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. You will also collaborate with various departments, such as production and logistics, to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
The ideal candidate for this position has a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in material planning. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage material forecasts based on production plans and demand projections.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and meet production requirements.
- Analyze data, including production schedules and historical demand patterns, to identify trends and make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in material planning and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software.
