Job Description
A guidance counsellor plays a crucial role in providing support and guidance to students in their academic and personal development. As a guidance counsellor, you will work closely with students, parents, and teachers to address various issues including academic struggles, personal challenges, and career planning.
Your responsibilities will include assessing students’ needs, providing individual and group counselling sessions, and helping students develop effective study skills and social-emotional competencies. You will also collaborate with teachers and administrators to create and implement programs that promote students’ well-being and academic success.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in counselling or a related field, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate and empathetic nature. Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is highly desirable.
