British American Tobacco Nigeria has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Technician role in Ibadan
To ensure the reduction of breakdown on PMD machines and achieve maximum availability and OEE through effective provision of electrical support to all PMD production equipment in line with standard procedures, at an effective cost, in a hygienic and safe working environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide technical support to production machines in PMD
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and efficiency through prompt attendance to electrical issues on the machine
  • Implement EHS audit recommendations and ensure all guards are intact and working.
  • Attend technical call out request from PMD Cell Manager and Team Leaders
  • Ensures month on month reduction in electrical downtime in PMD
  • Implementation of downtime analysis of PMD machines
  • Ensure faults are fixed as soon as it happens.
  • Implement all required and recommended actions/responsibilities to support operating teams through the IWS phase journey
  • Document and fixed defects found
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a production environment, preferably in an FMCG
  • Sound Knowledge of and ability of troubleshoot PLC (Siemens, Omron) related problems
  • Installation and configuration of VFDs
  • Installation and calibration of process instruments
