Job Description

an Hygiene Officer responsibilities, functions and duties can include:

  • Team Leadership & Staff Management
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new cleaning staff
  • Provide regular training on hygiene protocols and best practices
  • Motivate and supervise cleaning staff to ensure high levels of productivity and discipline
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and address performance issues
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
  • Assign and supervise cleaning teams across different sites and shifts
  • Ensure all staff are punctual and meet attendance expectations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and complaints
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
  • Conduct regular site visits to maintain service quality and client satisfaction
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and cleaning standards
  • Ensure all staff use PPE correctly and follow safe working procedures
  • Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness meets client and company standards
  • Inventory & Resource Management
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and accountability of all cleaning tools
  • Raise requisitions and maintain records of materials issued and used
  • Identify and propose opportunities for service improvement or expansion
  • Support business development efforts by maintaining a strong service reputation
  • strong knowledge of the cleaning industry
  • Participate in client meetings and site assessments for new business opportunities
  • Answering calls, emails and letters.
  • All-around administrative duties
  • Researching and writing reports and project work.
  • Excellent writing skills (EXCELLENT)
  • Ability to use MS office proficiently (word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Assisting with HR and associated staff appraisals and training etc

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₦150,00.00 per month
