Job Title: Physical and Health Education Teacher(PHE)

Location: Okota, Isolo, Lagos

Salary: ₦ 40,00

Job Type: Part Time (Once a week)

Job Description:

We’re seeking a qualified and passionate Physical and Health Education (PHE) Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting students’ physical fitness, health awareness, teamwork, and overall wellbeing through engaging practical and theoretical lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in Physical and Health Education that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and curriculum activities in line school objectives
• Organise and supervise practical physical activities, sports, and fitness sessions safely
• Teach health education topics including personal hygiene, nutrition, first aid, and healthy lifestyle habits
• Assess and monitor student progress through class activities, tests, assignments, and examinations, providing regular feedback and reports to parents/guardians
• Prepare students effectively for internal assessments.
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes student participation and discipline
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour
• Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement and provide appropriate support and encouragement
• Collaborate with colleagues on departmental planning and school sports/health programmes
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school activities

Requirements:

• NCE or B.Ed in Physical and Health Education, Human Kinetics, Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 3–4 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the PHE curriculum and examination requirements
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and supervise students during practical activities safely
• TRCN certification is an added advantage
