Job Description
A Contract Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing contractual agreements between parties involved in construction and engineering projects. This position requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction contracts and industry standards.
Responsibilities include reviewing and drafting contract documents, identifying potential risks, managing claims and disputes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The Contract Engineer also monitors project timelines and budgets, conducts site inspections, and evaluates contractor performance.
Key qualifications for this role include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Proficiency in contract management software and knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements are also essential.
