Job Description
The Changeroom is looking for a highly skilled Head of Underwriting to oversee and manage our underwriting operations at the Lagos office. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting or finance, specializing in risk assessment, claims evaluation, and premium calculation within the financial services industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of underwriting experience, including 3 years in a managerial position.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or CIIA is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to various audiences.
- Thorough understanding of local financial regulations and compliance standards.
