Job Description
Primero Transport Service Limited is a leading provider of transport services based in Lagos Nigeria, a major partner with Lagos state Bus Rapid Transport system.
We are recruiting to fill the position of Maintenance Technical Supervisor in Ikorodu, Lagos on a full-time basis.
Job Description:
- Work alongside the Head of Maintenance to develop and implement a coordinated maintenance strategy in line with emerging policy.
- Provide technical information and assistance to the Management regarding automotive needs and issues; assist in the formulation and development of policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support the HOM in the services, repair, and preventive maintenance of all vehicles; develop, implement and supervise preventive maintenance programs; periodically review repair works and procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and efficiency; recommend vehicles for replacement, prepare specifications, and arrange for auction or disposal when necessary.
- Ensure that engineering lost mileage is kept to a minimum and take appropriate hands-on corrective action where required including carrying out mechanical repairs when required.
- Ensure that vehicles are serviced in accordance with departmental servicing standards.
- Ensure that proactive planned maintenance is carried out on vehicles to prevent problems occurring.
- Ensure proper working conditions of the workshop and safety practices are followed.
- Control and allocate the flow of work in the workshop to make the best use of staff, equipment, and other resources.
- Ensure that vehicles meet the business requirement at all times.
- Ensure that the workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of high standard and that special tools and equipment are well maintained.
- Ensure that each vehicle has a full documented history of work carried out on them.
