Job Description
We seek to employ a Clearing Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across international borders.
Location: Ilela
Responsibilities
- Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade agreements.
- Documentation: Oversee preparation and submission of customs documents.
- Tariffs and Duties: Manage tariff classifications, duty rates, and calculate taxes.
- Risk Assessment: Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders to expedite clearance processes.
- Problem-Solving: Address customs-related issues.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate transaction records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus.
- 18 years experience in Clearing & Forwarding in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in international documentation, shipping processes, and more.
- Previous experience with brokers, forwarders, and partners.
- Operational knowledge of ports and government agencies.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
